Warranty Information – Parts & Labour
A Plus Towbars & Accessories – New South Wales
At A Plus Towbars & Accessories, we are committed to supplying quality parts and providing professional installation services for 4WD vehicles and towing equipment. This page outlines our warranty coverage for both parts and labour, consistent with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and applicable NSW regulations.
1. Parts Warranty
Supplier / Manufacturer Warranty
All parts supplied and fitted by A Plus Towbars & Accessories are covered by the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials or manufacturing under normal use.
Key points:
Warranty periods differ between brands, components, and suppliers.
All claims are assessed according to the manufacturer/supplier’s terms and conditions.
If a part fails during its warranty period, we will assist in submitting and managing the claim.
Note: Approval of part warranty claims is determined by the supplier/manufacturer, not A Plus Towbars & Accessories.
2. Labour Warranty (Workmanship)
We stand behind the quality of our work.
Labour Warranty – 12 Months
All installation work performed by A Plus Towbars & Accessories is covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of installation.
This covers:
Issues arising from incorrect installation
Faults directly related to our workmanship
This does not cover:
Faults caused by defective parts (including customer-supplied parts)
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or off-road/competition activity
Issues caused by unrelated pre-existing vehicle faults
Damage resulting from alterations or repairs carried out by third parties
3. Customer-Supplied Parts
If you choose to provide your own parts:
No parts warranty is offered by A Plus Towbars & Accessories.
Labour is still covered under our 12-month workmanship warranty unless the fault is caused by the supplied part.
If the part fails, any labour required for removal, diagnosis, or reinstallation will be chargeable.
4. Warranty Claim Procedure
If you experience an issue and believe it may be warranty-related:
Contact A Plus Towbars & Accessories as soon as possible.
Provide your invoice number, installation date, and details of the problem.
Bring your vehicle back to us for inspection—this is required for all warranty assessments.
If the fault involves a part, we will lodge the claim with the supplier or manufacturer on your behalf.
Important:
All warranty repairs must be carried out by A Plus Towbars & Accessories or an authorised repairer approved by us.
Unauthorised repairs may void both parts and labour warranties.
5. Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered by warranty:
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by improper use, abuse, neglect, or incorrect operation
Damage from overloading, towing beyond rated capacity, competition use, or extreme off-road conditions
Modifications or repairs made by others
Pre-existing mechanical or electrical issues that affect the installed part
Failure due to lack of maintenance or incorrect maintenance
Environmental damage (e.g., rust, corrosion, impact damage)
6. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) – Your Rights
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
A replacement or refund for a major failure, and
Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major failure.
This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the ACL.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by NSW law:
Our liability is limited to repairing or replacing the defective part and/or re-performing the installation.
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as towing, accommodation, loss of income, or loss of vehicle use.
